Requires ProfessionalSafe Checks You Can Do
-
1
Clean the drain filter
Open the access panel at the lower front of the washer. Place towels and a shallow pan underneath. Slowly unscrew the drain filter and remove lint, coins, and debris.
Water will flow out when you open the filter — have towels ready. Some models have a small drain hose next to the filter for controlled draining.
-
2
Check the drain hose
Inspect the drain hose for kinks or sharp bends. Ensure it is not pushed too far into the standpipe (no more than 6 inches).
A drain hose pushed too far into the standpipe can create a siphon effect.
